Institute of Space Technology: Admissions Fall 2010

Institute of Space Technology, Islamabad has admissions open to following Bachelor’s degree programs for Fall 2010 session:

  • Aerospace Engineering
  • Communication Systems Engineering
  • Materials Science and Engineering
Academic Requirements
  • SSC/O-Level /Equivalent: 60%
  • HSSC/A-Level/Equivalent: 60% (Unadjusted)
  • NAT-1E / NAT-1CS: 50%
  • Limited seats are available for Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) in related disciplines (Aggregate Marks 60%, for details visit IST website)
  • Applicants having Computer Studies/ Computer Science in lieu of Chemistry at HSSC or A-level are eligible for the program of Communication Systems Engineering only.
NAT-1E tests for F.Sc. (Pre-Engineering) and NAT-1CS for F.Sc. (Physics, Mathematics and Computer) conducted by NTS taken after September 1, 2009 till 15 August 2010 are applicable for admissions.
Candidates awaiting results may also apply.

Admissions package are available at OCS Express Centers for Rs 500 in the following cities: Abbottabad, Bahawalpur, DG Khan, Faisalabad, Gilgit, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hyderabad, Islamabad, Jhelum, Karachi, Lahore, Mirpur (AK), Multan, Muzaffarabad, Peshawar, Quetta, Rawalpindi, Sahiwal, Sialkot, Sukkur.
Free return of completed application to Admissions Office through any OCS Express Center.
Call OCS UAN: 111 202 202 for any difficulty in the availability of prospectus.
Admission package can also be obtained from Institute of Space Technology (IST) Admission Office for Rs.500 or by sending demand draft of Rs. 600 in favor of IST, Islamabad.
Candidates may also apply online for admission at: www.ist.edu.pk.
Scholarships
  • Sponsorships are available.
  • Merit scholarships up to 100% tuition fee waiver.

College of Art and Design: B.Arch. and BFA Admissions

College of Art and Design, University of the Punjab has invited applications for admission to following Bachelor programs, details of which are given below.
Prospectus along with entry Test/Admission forms will be available from August 12, 2010. Last date for receiving the entry test forms is August 20, 2010 by 4:00 pm. Last date for receiving the Admission forms fully filled and with all required documents will be September 10, 2010.
BFA in Graphic Design, Textile Design and Painting (Morning and Evening Replica Programs)
Eligibility

  • Intermediate or equivalent
Basic Criteria
  1. All applicants will have to pass an entry test of Drawing.
  2. Only those who pass the test will be eligible for admission.
  3. The age limit shall be 24 years.
  4. 40 marks will be given to those students who have done relevant diploma from University College of Art and Design.

Bachelor of Architecture B.Arch. (5 years professional degree accredited by PCATP)
Eligibility
  1. Minimum requirement for admission to B.Arch. is 50% marks in Intermediate, A-Level or equivalent with combination of any three of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Computer Science, Statistics, Fine Arts, Economics, Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology.
  2. I.Com., D.Com. holders are not eligible.
  3. Two seats are reserved for the applicants who have passed 3 years Diploma in Architecture from a recognized Polytechnic Institute.
  4. All applicants will have to pass entry tests of Drawing, English and Mathematics. Only those who pass all the tests will be eligible for admission. All applicants who qualify entry tests will have to appear in an interview.
  5. The age limit will be 24 years.
  6. For the purpose of determining merit 30% weightage will be given to the tests and 70% to the academic achievements of the student.
  7. Decision of the admission Committee shall be final.
