Application Package
Prospectus and application form can be downloaded from website: www.ciit.edu.pk or obtained from the admission office of any campus.
The duly filled form can be submitted/posted to the admission office of the respective campus along with draft of Rs.500 as admission processing fee in favor of respective campus of CIIT (e.g. CIIT Lahore).
Applications are invited by Mehran University of Engineering and Technology on the prescribed forms from the candidates domiciled in the province of Sindh except Karachi for admission in Second Year Bachelor’s degree course with 10-Batch in the following subjects:
— B.Tech. (Pass): Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Technology: One seat in each Engineering discipline
— B.Sc. (Industrial Tech): 3 seats in Chemical and 2 seats in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering
Qualifications: B.Tech. (Pass)/B.Sc. (Industrial Technology) minimum 55% aggregate marks.
Determination of Merit
One percent of aggregate marks will be deducted for each gap of one academic year after matriculation examination from the total marks of the qualifying examination irrespective of the facts whether the qualifying examination has been repeated or the gap has occurred owning to any other reason.
Application Forms
Application form can be had from the office of Director Admissions, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro on payment of Rs.2,000 through Bank Challan on all working days/hours from August 23, 2010 to August 28, 2010. No admission form shall be issued after the stipulated period.
Application form duly completed in all respects accompanied by attested copies of the required documents be deposited in the aforesaid office by or before September 2, 2010.
Each column of the application form must be completed and filled-in appropriately. If any column is left blank or any information is found missing, misleading or false, the application form will be rejected.
Eligibility
Candidates who have passed B.Tech. (Pass)/ B.Sc. (Industrial Technology) examination before the issuance of the application forms up to 2008 are only eligible to apply for admission.
Candidates shall be required to appear in the Pre-Admission Test to be conducted on Sunday October, 17, 2010 at 09:00 am at Public School, Latifabad No. 3, Hyderabad. The right of admission in case of default to appear in the Pre-Admission Test shall be forfeited.
Those candidates who are already in Job/Service are required to submit No Objection Certificate from their employer for grant of three years study leave for studies purpose with admission form failing which their forms shall be liable to rejection.

Students are eligible to apply if they are/have:
- Azad Jammu and Kashmir national.
- Passed F.Sc. Pre-Engineering (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) with at least 60% marks or have appeared in the said examination and are waiting for their result with hope certification from the respective head of institution of acquiring 60% marks.
- If the result of candidate is declared by the respective Board/institution before the Entry Test, he will be only and only eligible to appear in the Entry Test if he secures 60% marks and submits the result.
- Entry Test result of all those result awaiting candidates will not be evaluated who will fail to submit the 60% results or before Entry Test.
- B.Sc. (Mathematic and Physics) with at least 60% marks.
- Diploma in Associate Engineering with at least 60% marks in relevant above disciplines.
- F.Sc. (Physics, Mathematics and Computer Sciences) combination is also valid for Computer Systems Engineering besides F.Sc. Pre-Engineering (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics)
- Non Azad Jammu and Kashmir national can also apply for Self Support Programs in the above discipline however preference will be given to the AJK Nationals. This Entry Test is also mandatory for them.
